Alambique Serrano and Cinco Sentidos Seminar (past)
Cinco Sentidos is one of the most respected brands when it comes to agave distillates and mezcal. Here at Bay Towne Wines & Spirits we are very proud to offer a wide range of the outstanding spirits they source and import from throughout Mexico. Jason Cox, the founder and co-owner of Cinco Sentidos, has built the brand’s reputation through partnering with independent producers and fairly bringing their distillates to market. Jason’s newest project is built on this same basis by bringing the Krassel family’s rums distilled in the Cloud Forest of Oaxaca to our market. Join us here in the BayTowne seminar room from 6:00 to 7:30p.m. Thursday September 19th to taste through some of the new Alambique Serrano offerings alongside some Cinco Sentidos favorites. Our friend Nate from PM Spirits and David, their Mexican spirits specialist, will be kicking things off with a cocktail made with the still-strength unaged Cartier 30 rum. We’ll then taste one of the limited aged blends from Alambique Serrano and one of their exclusive single barrels. From there, we’ll move from the Alambique rums to the Cinco agave spirits. Besides sampling one of their limited batches, we’ll also sample our store pick Tobaziche-Mexicano, a batch solely available at BayTowne Wine & Spirits. It will be an evening full of some of the best of Mexican distilling, for both agave and sugar cane distillates, and we hope you take advantage of one the limited spots available!
